What is TedxSyracuse?

About TEDx, x = independently organized event

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TED Talks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection.

What is your role in the organization?

My position is Director of Promotions and Attendee Experience. We have a small team, but yet got a high profile list of speakers and successful event. A lot of late night preparations and to see it all wrap together, also got closer with the team members immensely.

Can you explain the theme of this year’s event?

This year our team selected ‘SHIFT’ as the theme to represent a journey. That is the journey one undertakes to develop new knowledge from the ideas which our speakers will convey through their talks.
